For Further Discussion

These questions are drawn from feature articles in the May 2008 Church Herald and are offered as a guide for use with adult education classes or discussion groups. (Another monthly feature, Church in Conversation on page 7, already includes questions with this month’s article, “A Living Sacrifice.”)

3. How will the current emphasis on church multiplication change people’s lives?

4. How and where do you see the church’s impact on the kingdom of God and on the world around us?

5. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the shift in the RCA toward “churches planting churches”?

“Reformation in the Dominican Republic” (page 29)

2. Is the RCA overly structured? Do our structures help or hinder our ministry?

3. In parts of the world where the church is growing rapidly, what accounts for the spread of Christianity? What keeps Christianity from spreading with the same energy in North America?

4. What are some ways that technology—old and new—can assist churches in evangelism?

5. How might the RCA benefit from a relationship with churches in the Dominican Republic?
