“Thirty Years of Spiritual Highs” (page 17) 1. What is the most important thing to understand about today's young people? 2. What is the most important thing to communicat to today's young people? 3. Describe an event from your youth that shaped who you are today. 4. How does your church encourage and support youth in pursuing experiences like Rocky Mountain High? What encouragement and support do you try to offer as an individual?
“The Grieving Road” (page 22) 1. Describe a time in your life—not necessarily the death of a person—when you were surprised by grief. 2. What specific things helped you move through the grieving process? 3. How do you typically respond to those who are grieving? Describe a time when you felt you were helpful to someone who was grieving. 4. What Bible passages speak to you about dealing with grief and loss?
“Tibet’s Challenged Church” (page 28) 1. What are some ways to grow the church in areas where there is little Christian presence? 2. When you travel, either domestically or abroad, how do you research the state of religion in a given area? 3. What are some ways the RCA can utilize the expertise of its retirees? 4. Describe a region of the world you would be interested in visiting to discover more about its religious and cultural landscape.
